That’s more than 50 lights for each Town of Breckenridge resident.  If strung end to end\, the lights could reach from downtown Breckenridge to tippy top of the highest chairlift in North America\, the Imperial Express\, almost four times. By using some of the most energy-efficient lights available\, the town of Breckenridge saves approx. 155\,663 kWh of electricity. That’s enough to power a Tesla around the earth’s circumference approx.17 times. \n  \nWHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO PARK?\nThe most convenient free parking will be at the Airport Road lot\, which will be serviced by Breck FreeRide Red Route. For  over  57 years\, the snow-obsessed community of Breckenridge has strapped on Viking helmets and paid tribute to Ullr (rhymes with cooler)\, the Norse god of snow\, in hopes of being rewarded handsomely with an abundance of snowfall. Legend has it\, this yearly ritual is  the reason Breckenridge is blessed with 360+ inches of annual snowfall (that’s over 30 feet!). Instead\, Breckenridge is expanding the celebration with the new Ten Days of ULLR happening December 9 – 19\, 2020. Expected to invigorate the winter spirit in everyone\, this year’s event will pay homage to Ullr with static open-air art installations throughout town\, a town-wide adventure race scavenger hunt sure to test any snow worshiper’s merit\, the Breckenridge Distillery virtual ShotSki\, a Breck Film winter film series screening\, Strava-based fat bike races\, Breck Create youth Ullr crafts and more!\nUllr Fest will adhere to all public health and safety regulations required for Colorado.
